Reservists Go to Sea to Forward-Deployed Expeditionary Strike Group on Patrol

WESTERN PACIFIC - 180407-N-XK398-003 WESTERN PACIFIC (April 7, 2018) Electronics Technician 2nd Class Matthew Chonka, a Navy Reservist from San Marcos, Texas, center, practices getting a simulated patient onto a rescue sleeve in the main battle dress station aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). A contingent of Reserve Sailors supported the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) in a variety of jobs from administrative to deck to engineering, ensuring the Wasp ESG could execute all required missions during its Indo-Pacific patrol.
