SASEBO, Japan - 180114-N-IO414-003 SASEBO, Japan (Jan. 14, 2018) Sailors of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) man the rails as the ship arrives to Sasebo, Japan. The Wasp, capable of operating the U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Joint Strike Fighter, will replace USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) as the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship in 7th Fleet.
