Bonhomme Richard Concludes Participation in Cobra Gold 18
Gulf of Thailand - 180218-N-TH560-055 GULF OF THAILAND (Feb. 18, 2018) A Republic of Korea Navy landing craft, mechanized transits from the amphibious landing ship ROKS Cheon Ja Bong (LST-687) to the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) as part of a cross-decking evolution during Exercise Cobra Gold 2018. Bonhomme Richard is participating in CG18 alongside Royal Thai Navy ships and personnel, conducting a range of amphibious operations that will enhance the tactical expertise of participants and rehearse combined capabilities to respond to contingencies. Cobra Gold is an annual exercise conducted in the Kingdom of Thailand held this year from Feb. 13-23 with seven full participating nations.
