Reservists Go to Sea to Forward-Deployed Expeditionary Strike Group on Patrol

WESTERN PACIFIC - 180329-N-XK398-024 PHILIPPINE SEA (March 29, 2018) Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Brett Walls, a Navy Reservist from Seattle, Wash., prepares to move a box to the flight deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS) with the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Cargo and Ammunition Ship USNS Wally Schirra (T-AKE 8). A contingent of Reserve Sailors supported the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) in a variety of jobs from administrative to deck to engineering, ensuring the Wasp ESG could execute all required missions during its Indo-Pacific patrol.
